National Day
On October 1, 1949, the Central People's Government of the People's Republic of China was established; on December 2, the Fourth Meeting of the Central People's Government Committee accepted the suggestion of the National People's Congress and passed the "Resolution on the National Day of the People's Republic of China", deciding that October 1 of each year would be the National Day of the People's Republic of China. [1] [9] After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the form of celebrating the National Day underwent several changes. From 1950 to 1959, large-scale celebration activities were held every year, along with military parades. From 1960 to 1970, grand gatherings and mass processions were held in front of Tiananmen Square every year, but military parades were not held. From 1971 to 1983, other forms such as large-scale garden parties and other activities were used to celebrate, without holding mass processions. In 1984, military parades and mass celebration processions were held again. After 1985, the National Day was mostly celebrated in other forms, without holding military parades and mass celebration processions. Only in 1999, 2009, and 2019, military parades and mass celebration processions were held again.
This is a delightful event. I wish everyone a happy holiday and a reunion with their families.
Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Festival of Worshiping the Moon, the Festival of Moonlight, the Moon Festival, the Festival of Worshiping the Moon, the Festival of Moon Goddess, the Festival of Reunion, the Mid-Autumn Festival, or the Moon Festival, is a traditional festival popular among many ethnic groups in China. It falls on the fifteenth day of the eighth lunar month. Because it coincides with the halfway point of autumn, it gets this name. It is also known as one of the four traditional festivals in China along with the Spring Festival, the Qingming Festival, and the Dragon Boat Festival.
